What are the sleeping arrangements?
We are a 'camp' in the fullest sense of the word - we do sleep in tents! We use traditional-looking bell tents but they are all modern models. You can see a picture of the site in the morning to the right. To get a better impression of what one of the Bell Tents looks like click here (this isn't necessarily the supplier used by the site, but gives a good indication). The tents comfortably sleep 6, and we aim to have between 4-6 young people sleeping in each tent. Leaders sleep nearby in their own bell tents. We have separate boys and girls tents.
Are there any permanent buildings on site?
Yes! We are fortunate enough to have a Kitchen/Shower block on site that is a permanent building. It houses the kitchen, separate boys and girls toilets and 5 power showers. We eat our meals in a large marquee and we have a separate marquee for our evening activities, which also includes "indoor" games
What happens if it rains?
We still have a lot of fun! We've been running camps on the site for a long time, and there has been the odd bit of rain from time to time. Rest assured it doesn't stop Dorset Venture being a great holiday.
